How it's calculated
Age = whole years + whole months + remaining days between the two dates
We count calendar months, so the answer matches how people normally say their age. Leap days are handled: a Feb 29 birthday is celebrated on Mar 1 in non-leap years.
Worked example
Born June 15, 1990: on June 14, 2026 you're 35 years, 11 months, 30 days old, and your birthday is tomorrow.
Common questions
Why do some age calculators disagree by a day?
Month lengths differ, so "months and days" can be counted in slightly different ways. Total days lived is always exact.
What's my age in other cultures?
Some traditions count age differently, for example Korean or Chinese reckoning where you're 1 at birth. This calculator uses the international standard.
